Version Naming Rules
Software versions are named based on the following standard rules:
Format:
Vx.y.z_OCx.x.x_[d-M-yyyy]Variations Example:
- V1.0.2_OC1.5.x_20-Jun-2021 – Version 1.0.2 for OpenCart 1.5.x, released on June 20, 2021
- V1.0.2_OC2.0.x-2.1.x_20-Jun-2021 – Version 1.0.2 for OpenCart 2.0.x to 2.1.x, released on June 20, 2021
- V1.0.2_OC2.2-2.3.x_20-Jun-2021 – Version 1.0.2 for OpenCart 2.2.x to Opencart 2.3.x, released on June 20, 2021
- V1.0.2_OC3.x_20-Jun-2021 – Version 1.0.2 for OpenCart 3.x, released on June 20, 2021
- V1.0.2_OC4.x_20-Jun-2021 – Version 1.0.2 for OpenCart 4.x, released on June 20, 2021
Detailed Convention:
- V (Version):
- Begins with an uppercase "V", followed by version numbers x, y, z.
- x: Increased for major updates.
- y, z: Increased for minor updates or patches.
- OC (OpenCart):
- Indicates the version is for OpenCart.
- If supporting multiple OpenCart versions, use a dash
-to separate ranges.
- [d-M-yyyy]: Date in PHP format.
- d: Day.
- M: Month abbreviated in English.
- yyyy: Full year.
