Installation document for Customer Email Verification

Step 1: Download the Module

• Find the Module: Download the module from trusted sources like Opencartplus.com or the OpenCart Extension Store. Make sure the module is compatible with OpenCart 4.x.
• Prepare the File: The module package is usually a .zip file (e.g., module-name_V*.*_OC*.*.ocmod.zip or module-name_V*.*_OC*.*.zip). If the module is provided as a .ocmod.zip file, it’s an OCMod extension (the most common installation method for OpenCart 4.x modules).

Step 2: Upload the Module via Extensions Installer

• Login to OpenCart Admin: Access the admin panel of your store. Example: http://yourdomain.com/admin.
• Go to Extensions: From the main menu, select Extensions. Then choose Extensions → Installer from the dropdown menu.

• Upload the Module: Click the  Upload  button. Select the .zip file of the module you downloaded earlier. Once selected, click  Open  to start the upload process.

• Confirm Installation: After the upload, OpenCart will automatically validate the module. If successful, a confirmation message will appear. Some modules may require additional configuration after installation.

Step 3: Activate the Module

• Go to Extensions → Installer: Access the Installed Extensions list from the side menu and select the Extension Name → click Install to activate the module.

• Go to Extensions → Extensions: From the side menu, choose the appropriate Extension Type (e.g., Modules, Payment, Shipping, Reports…).

• Find the Module Name: Find the newly installed module in the list. Click  Install  next to it. Then click  Edit  to enable and configure it.

• Active Key: To use the module, you need to activate the key. Your License Key can be found on the Download Page of Opencartplus.com if you have a user account and purchased the module there. If you purchased it from the OpenCart Extension Store, check the email associated with your OpenCart.com account, as we will send an email to that address from our registered email: [email protected].

If OpenCart supports OCMOD (as in OpenCart 4.1.0.0), follow these steps:

1. Find the newly installed module in the list and click  Install
2. Go to Extensions → Modifications.
3. Click  Enable for the newly installed modification.
4. After enabling, click  Refresh to apply the modification.
5. Finally, click  Edit to configure the module settings (as shown in the sequence below).

Step 4: Configure the Module

• Go to Extensions → Other → Extensions Name: Click  Edit  next to the module name to configure it.

• Follow the module’s configuration instructions: For example, setting up an API key, adjusting settings, and configuring display options.

Step 5: Clear Cache

• Go to Developer Settings: In the Admin Panel, go to Settings. Click the   Setting  tab.
• Clear Cache: Under Settings, click  Clear Cache  to delete any old cached data and ensure the module works correctly.

Step 6: Configure as you like and use modules

• Go to Extensions ➔ Other ➔ Click on  Edit  : Customer Email Verification Integration as shown in the image below.
